B.F.A. Fine Art-Madonna University - Livonia, Michigan
M.Ed. Education-Antioch New England - Keene, New Hampshire
Years with N&N: 1 year
Hobbies and interests: I collect mermaid tears along the beach, build fairy houses, garden, volunteer with Strawbery Banke Museum, paint, write children's stories, dip candles, wet and dry felt, adore folk art crafting, collect and read books and love a myriad of music genres!
Why I choose to work with children: There is no magic greater than the spirit of childhood. Every day I work with children is an opportunity to help a child discover hidden talents and develop a sense of place in their classroom, community and self. When a child is jumping off a favorite rock, balancing on a log, lending a hand to a fallen friend or collaborating on a plan to catch a frog they are building physical strength, empathy, and social skills that will help them through their life. Play is their work which means play is my work too. I'm here to gently guide them on their path and open a world of exploration to them so they may learn to think and grow one sopping wet muddy step at a time. Why wouldn't I choose this path?
